Director Product Management
Konecranes is a successful company and has managed to grow their business globally for several years. To be able to continue the growth Konecranes Lifttrucks intends to implement a more strategic approach on products and product offerings in terms of equipment, service and other solutions. There for a new department, Product Management, has been implemented in the business unit. We are now looking for a Director Product Management to head up the department and to take on responsibility for implementing a world-class product management organization.
As Director Product Management you manage, lead and develop the product management, product support and project management functions within BU Lift Trucks to optimize results, working methods and resources. In short, you manage, own and develop the product roadmap for our product and service offering, based on guidelines and our business strategy.
Another important task is to implement structure and ways of working that supports correct business decisions and priorities. The role includes responsibilities for gross margin profitability for the business unit´s offerings as well as product support and warranty management functions, all to optimize customer satisfaction and minimize cost of poor quality. You also manage product pricelist and pricelist development, and you perform role as Chair of BU Lift Trucks Product Board.
Product Management organization consists of four departments headed up by managers and the Director Product Management leads and develops these functions to assure best practice and more efficient, and shortest, time to market. Other important tasks are to develop our sales and technical training academy, lead cross-functional teams to realize product concepts and bring them to market, work with customers and with internal teams to define and refine product requirements.
This role serves as key in execution of product roadmap, drive development of product portfolio, and communicate and build consensus with internal stakeholders.
Director Product Management reports to SVP Business Unit Lift Trucks and is a part of the business unit´s management team. The position is based in Markaryd Sweden and requires periodic international travel to represent the company at trade shows or other events, and to interact with customers, field-based sales and service personnel.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree in engineering or business/economics coupled with experience from machinery, vehicle or heavy industry. Also, you possess extensive experience in product management in an international B2B setting. You have previously held manager positions and shown excellent management- and communication skills. The position requires fluent English in speech and writing.
